Tucked along Barons Creek just off Fredericksburg’s Main Street, The Blacksmith Quarters is a collection of nine intimate cottages and a historic home, each one designed as a private retreat with a king bed, fireplace, and thoughtful comforts that make the Hill Country feel like your own backyard.
Every guestroom includes a fireplace for cool evenings and a romantic glow. Most cottages also feature a private outdoor hot tub; The Bianca is our only cozy, firelit room without a hot tub.
A PLACE WITH A WORKING PAST
The property sits on the former site of a local blacksmith shop, where travelers once stopped to repair wagons, shoe horses, and trade news from the road. Today, the anvil has given way to wine glasses and suitcases, but the spirit of careful craft remains. The cottages borrow their names from families and figures connected to the area, and many of the details such as stonework, wood, and iron quietly echo the town’s German heritage.

All of our rooms and cottages include a fireplace, creating a soft, warm focal point for cool nights, slow mornings, and quiet conversations at the end of the day.
PRIVATE HOT TUBS
Most cottages offer their own private outdoor hot tub, giving you a quiet place to soak and unwind after a day of wine tastings, shopping, or exploring the Hill Country. The Bianca is the only room without a hot tub, designed instead as a snug, firelit hideaway with shared patio access.
KITCHENETTES IN EVERY COTTAGE
Every cottage features a kitchenette equipped with a sink, mini-fridge, and microwave, so you can chill a bottle from a local vineyard, reheat something delicious from Main Street, or keep breakfast simple and slow.

Complimentary Wi-Fi, televisions, and well-appointed baths keep you comfortably connected to the modern world, all while the setting gently invites you to put your phone down and ease into Hill Country time.

The Blacksmith Quarters is located close to Main Street, within easy reach of restaurants, tasting rooms, shops, and galleries.
No pets
To protect the property and ensure a calm environment for all guests, pets are not permitted at The Blacksmith Quarters.

Guests must be at least 21 years of age to reserve and stay at the property.
